Final Fantasy VIII - A Story That Is Different From the Others

Final Fantasy VIII for the Nintendo Gamecube is with no doubt one of the best video games ever created. Not only does this provide more than its predecessors, in addition, it has all the very same things that fans have come to expect from the Final Fantasy series. Final Fantasy VIII also has something else which will make it stand out from each the other games - a storyline that is different from its predecessors.

The narrative in the game is place two thousand years before the events at the original Final Fantasy. King Gestahl has expired and the people of his kingdom are fighting over the throne. Every time a new prince called Cid arrives, his personality is very different from past incarnations of him. Cid is not only more laid back and fun to be around, but he has a more adventurous side, so he becomes a hero, instead of just a leader.

There are a lot of differences between this game and the rest of the sequence. For instance, in Final Fantasy VI, the game was set in the world of Lucis, so we never really get to see much of the planet outside the kingdoms of Baikal and Narshe. Final Fantasy VIII on the other hand occurs in the world of Thamasa.

In Thamasa, the main character is called Golbez. Rather than being a king, he's a notorious warlord that has been banished from his kingdom due to a crime he committed. Because of this, Golbez chose to begin a brand new life as a vagabond and journeys across Thamasa to obtain a new method to realize his objectives.

His first experience is truly the excursion from Thamasa into Dalmasca, which he makes in search final fantasy vii apk of a legendary weapon called the Gi.
